Bonfire Racing is excited for the 2012 season, and for very good reason. Fresh of a strong 2011 campaign, which resulted in an AMA sanctioned district 37 “expert” class championship; the future looks even brighter than the team’s already impressive past. However, never satisfied, their competitive spirit has them hungry as ever. Besides doing his best to hold on to the D-37 number one plate, team founder Bill Markel has plenty of big things lined up for the next year. The team is looking to broaden its racing calendar to include some higher profile events, with the goal of taking the Bonfire team to the next level of off roading success.

With twenty-five race weekends already planned for 2012 (with the potential for more) it is going to be an incredibly busy year for the team, with plenty of potential to develop and broaden the Bonfire Racing brand. It’s easy to tell that they wouldn’t have it any other way. With a firey passion for two things, speed and winning, it seems like they are more than up to the challenge. With new circuits and events on the horizon, 2012 might just be the best that the almost two-decade-old team has had to date.

Most notably, Bonfire Racing will be participating in several new circuits for the first time, in order compete against stiffer competition and climb the national ATV off roading ranks. These events include: the Kenda Tire NHHA full series, the Big Six Grand Prix Series, and the BTOSports.com’s Race Around The Lake in Castaic, California. After such a prolific 2011 campaign, these races will provide Bonfire Racing the opportunity to test their talent against new competition, on new courses. If the past is any indicator, these fresh challenges can only lead to good things for the Bonfire Racing Team.
